Non-profit (third) sector organizations are a major element in the economic and development system, and have become an important element in the economic equation in all sustainable development processes.

Based on the wise leadership’s interest in women and in an effort to achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom’s government to empower women, and to achieve the desired goals within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the Kingdom has implemented many legislative, social and economic reforms and initiatives that have contributed to raising the level of Saudi women’s participation in the three sectors more than ever before. Women’s participation in the labor market has doubled, and their ownership rates for a number of small and medium enterprises have increased, as nearly 40 percent of startup companies are now owned by women.

The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 stipulates “maximizing the social impact of the non-profit sector” to enhance contribution to the goal of enabling social responsibility and increasing social impact.

With the Kingdom’s victory in organizing Expo 2030, the non-profit sector is an exceptional and unprecedented opportunity to maximize its role in society, which enhances growth and stability at all levels, at the humanitarian level, and the exchange of expertise and experiences between various countries of the world, especially since the non-profit sector has outperformed the private sector in engaging Women in the workforce, which will enhance women’s presence globally and is consistent with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 endeavors to empower women.
